Stop giving too much information and just the right amount

What is the Goldilocks zone for information delivery when you are the speaker? https://youtu.be/K-KneYoRoAk What's the most common mistake that a presenter makes when they are presenting information? What was that? Well, if you said it's giving too much information, that's the answer that I hear most often. You know, it's funny. Many people know the answer to the question too much information. And yet, when you go to a presentation, what do you find? People giving too much information? Why do they give too much information? Well, it could be a number of reasons it could it be that they didn't bother preparing enough facilities simply dumping everything they have. It could be that the presenter is afraid that if they leave something out, you'll think that they don't know that. Guess what, as your audience, we don't want to know everything that you know, we simply want to know that, you know, so how can you convey the message that you know, and at the same time, give us the information that we want? Remember, we don't want all the information, we only want key information. Here's the magic phrase, that top three features are, the top three benefits are, the top three challenges are the top three. When you say that, here's at least three things that work in your favour. First, the audience goes, whew, it's only three, I can listen to three, and they'll remember three. The second thing that happens is that you can remember three and third, threes a magic number, it resonates. Well, if you can break down your key points into three, top three, it's more likely to be remembered and acted upon. The other benefit to your audience is when you say the top three, it indicates that you know more and that you took the time to sort through the information. Pick the most relevant points in order of priority to save them time because you respect them and their time by giving them only what's most relevant. The top three are!
